ABOUT US

I spent most of my life with dogs.I could understand them and trust them from the time I was a little girl. As an only child to my parents, the dogs became my brothers and sisters, my playmates and my best friends. to tell you the truth - untill today, I prefer to be with them, than to be with many people that I know.

I live in Israel in a small village near Jerusalem. I started breeding Yorkshire Terriers under the Kennel Name “Bney OR” ( which means in Hebrew “Children of Light”) in 1990. I have been showing from the late 80's until today, and made breeding of Yorkshire Terriers a way of life. I Graduated from the Israeli Canine School, was the secretary of the Israeli Toy breeds Club and one of the first YT breeders in Israel.

My first Yorkie was Sandy, she came to my life when I was 34 years old. in those days, there were only few Yorkies in Israel. I knew nothing about the breed and I didn't have any source to learn from. I used my instincts and my general knowledge about dogs, but nothing prepared me to the fact that A Yorkie is not a common dog. I was amazed to see how smart Sandy was, how fast she found the way to our hearts and became an important part of our family. I owe special thanks to Sandy. I fell in love with the Yorkshire Terrier breed because of her. together we went to our first show, together we had our first puppies. although she wasn't a show quality yorkie - she gave me my first home bread champion and my first Best Of Breed winner: Ch.Cher Of Bney OR. Sandy was the first lady in Bney OR YT Kennel, she was my best friend, until she died in the age 17 years old in November 2005. her spirit is still here.

I didn't decide to be a breeder, it became a passion, something I had to do, like a mission. I went to study at the IKC (Israeli Kennel Club) Canine School. my main subjects were: Genetics , Canine evolution , Behavior , Veterinary , Movement/Gate and more. The Internet gave me more tools to study about the Yorkshire Terrier breed and Blood Lines - and through it, I was able to meet responsible breeders from all over the world - the knowledge I got from them, is priceless. In the year 1996 I started to build my first Website, it was the best way for me to try and share what I know with other people in my Country.

My Breeding lines were based on Millmoor and Delle Antiche Mura. most of my Champions came from those lines.during the years, after I study enough to know what type of Yorkie I hope to see in my breeding,I started to search for the best stud ,who will be able to improve my breeding and lines.that's how I met Mrs.Nicoletta Pollini from Qoccle's Kennel ,who trusted me enough to let me have one of her best young males:Ch.Qoccle's Colpo Di Fulmine (Leo),son of Multi Ch.Qoccle's Oliver Lightsome. It was very important for me to bring Leo home by myself and not ask Nicoletta to ship him.the time I spent with Nicoletta Pollini in Italy and the chance to be with her in the International show in Ancona, was priceless.Leo,or as we call him at home : Piccolino, came to Israel with me as a Winner, after he won Best Junior in Breed in this show.since then,he won the first place in every show he enterd. Qoccle's Colpo Di Fulmine finished his Israeli championship title on December 2007. I hope that Piccolino's qualities and his good blood lines, will improve my breeding in the future.

On August 2007 I went to Italy again, this time I came back to Israel with Qoccle's Best Tresor a young female 9 months old.I kept the name that Nicoletta used to call her at home:Nina.

I feel the need to thank 5 ladies who helped me during the years.

  • Antonella Tomaselli (Delle Antiche Mura) from Italy - my first impported yorkie: Coquette Delle Antiche Mura came from her breeding
  • Cookie Rogan from US
  • Antonella Meucci (Sweety Blue) from Italy
  • Nicoletta Pollini (Qoccle's) from Italy - who trusted me with two of her best puppies
  • Terri Shumski from US (May her soul rest in peace)

  • all of you made me a better breeder

My Yorkies are part of the family.we love them and take care of them. they are free in the house and they have a big garden, where they can run and play together.I don't breed much, usually I breed for myself and keep most of my puppies at home.
My Main aim was,and still is,to show high quality Yorkies from my own breeding, but above all, to study and learn as much as I can about this amazing breed.
